I wanted to call this value, Bring your best self, but after reading Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead, I changed it based on her definition of wholeheartedness: engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough.

The idea of enough means that we are complete. We are enough. And it starts with us. If you are waiting for me, other mastermind members, your staff, your spouse, your friends, or your family to validate you, it could be a long time waiting.

It’s also unfair. Don’t put that burden on other people to make you feel good about yourself.

Start from a place of worth. Bring your best self each week to the mastermind by leading with whole hearts and whole selves.

If we do that as leaders, we absolutely will bring our best selves to the mastermind. Stay curious. Be compassionate (to yourself).
