What the Scorecard Does

The School Leadership Scorecard measures you across the six dimensions every Ruckus Maker leads from.

It doesn't ask how long you've been a principal. It doesn't ask what your state test scores look like. It doesn't care about your eval.

It asks how you actually lead.

The Six Dimensions of Ruckus Maker Leadership

1. Own Your Development You don't wait for your district to grow you. You invest in yourself and design your own plan.

2. Build Your Ruckus Maker Network You have peers outside your district who tell you the truth. Isolation is not a strategy.

3. Lead With Courage, Not Comfort You have the hard conversations on time, not eventually. Kindness is not the same as avoidance.

4. Measure What Matters You define winning in your own language. Not just the metrics handed down from above.

5. Execute, Don't Just Ideate You know your one priority and you move on it. Ideas are cheap. Execution is the job.

6. Design a Campus Worth Showing Up For You have a vision specific enough to guide a hard decision, and your staff owns it with you.

How It Works

Three tiers. One honest read of where you stand.

• 0–4: Play-It-Safe Principal. Most principals are here because the system trained them to be. That's not an insult. It's a diagnosis.
• 5–8: Becoming a Ruckus Maker. You've made the turn. You know what it looks like. You're practicing some of it.
• 9–12: Ruckus Maker. You're already doing the work. Now the question is how you help the people around you do it too.
