How do you change things when change is hard?
First, you should read Switch, by Chip and Dan Heath …
Or if you’re strapped for time, listen to my Mini-Monday episode that focuses on this topic.
According to the Heath Bros change centers on 3 elements:
- Rider (logic)
- Elephant (emotion)
- Path (necessary steps for change)
Leaders need to be aware of each of these 3 elements to effectively instill change in their organization.
Make sure you listen to the entire episode for a few anecdotes and examples of what you can do in your school or district to more effectively be a change agent.
